2013 - 2014 REGISTRATION

Registration packets for the 2013 -2014 school year were sent home with students on Thursday, April 18th. There are many forms to complete and we ask that you review the materials very closely. This packet contains detailed information for the high school as well as the entire school district. If you have any questions regarding the registration process, please contact the school office - 815.426.2103. Deadline for the materials to be returned is MAY 1ST.

SOME IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND KEY DATES

Periodically we will be sending out information using our School Messenger System which involves using a phone message and e-mail.  I would encourage everyone to listen to the message in its entirety to get the necessary information.

Senior Schedule During PSAE Test Week

Tuesday, April 23:  Senior College/Career Readiness Day

This is a day for seniors to use to finish up any last minute details for college, trade school, or career, before they graduate.

Wednesday, April 24:  Senior Class Trip.

Students who are not attending the Class Trip should be in attendance that day.

FRIDAY, MAY 17, 2013 LUNCH: SPAGHETTI BREAD/CHICKEN PATTY/CORN DOG ***ATTENTION ALL JV SOCCER GIRLS: Please turn in your uniforms by Monday, May 20th. ***BOY'S TRACK SECTIONAL RESULTS: Justin Harris - 3rd shot put, 5th discus; Taylor Prince 5th 110 HH; 4X100 6th - Charlie Vaughn, Zach Mau, Jossiah Bessette, Tobie Brinkman. STATE QUALIFIERS: Jordan Lamie - 3rd high jump 6'3"; Jack Hogan - 1st pole vault 13'6". ***The Senior TNT will be sold 7th hour Friday for $1. ***NHS SENIORS: We will have a brief breakfast meeting on Tuesday, May 21st, at 7:40 am in Miss Schoolman's room. ***Girl's soccer awards night: Monday, May 20th @ 6:00 in the HS Cafeteria. Turn jerseys into your coaches! ***Due to Federal nutritional guidelines, Herscher High School will no longer be able to serve French Fries daily, beginning the 2013-2014 school year. We are going to attempt to fill this void with other options which will be pleasing to the students. We would like all students to fill out the survey, listing the acceptable USDA options, so that we can replace the French Fries with the most popular alternate choices. The surveys will be handed out by the cashiers during lunch hours during the week of 5/20/13 thorugh 5/24/13. There will be boxes available on the ketchup table to place the completed surveys. ***Basketball girls interested in shooting camp need to turn in a form and money to Mrs. Savoie. ***ALL STUDENT COUNCIL STUDENTS: There will be a MANDATORY meeting this Sunday, May 19th, in the Media Center at 6:30. We will be voting, discussing the Dells trip, and tying up loose ends. ***Any students interested in learning the game of golf - information is available in the office. ***BEST BUDDIES: Our end of the year picnic is this Saturday, May 18th, noon - 2.
