SCHOOL BUS DRIVER

Pre-Employment Screening

Perspective employees are subjected to a pre-employment screening process:

• Driver Employment Application
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Personal Interview
• Secretary of State Eligibility
• Past employment and personal reference checks
• Criminal record review
• Motor vehicle record review
• Physical Examination
• Drug and Alcohol Screen
• 8-hour Initial Classroom Course
• Written test
• Behind the Wheel Training
• Driving Test

School Bus Driver Employment

Following completion of the pre-employment screening process, all drivers are required to:

• Complete Annual Physical Examination
• Complete Annual Drug and Alcohol Screen
• Attend Annual Refresher Course
• Participate in Mandatory DOT Random Drug Testing Pool
• Comply with Performance Responsibilities as outlined in the Driver Handbook
