Student Schedule Change Policy:  

Changes in student schedules for either semester can be requested by students the last four days of the previous school year.  All other changes must be initiated by administrators, teachers, or counselors because of conflicts, errors, balancing of classes, or failure to meet prerequisites.

A large number of changes result in the overload of some departments that will not be reflected in the pre­registration. The staff is hired according to needs of the students which is assessed at pre-registration. Therefore, it is necessary that the schedules be accurate prior to the beginning of school.

Acceptance of Outside Credit:

Credit may be earned to make up a failure at Herscher High School in a required course through counselor approved correspondence courses (BYU Online Study), Kankakee High School/BBCHS or other approved summer school, or KCC Continuing Education night classes at BBCHS or HHS. Only two credits (4 semester classes) can be accepted outside of Herscher classes for graduation. This rule does not apply to transfer students or students who are older than 19 years old or have had their class already graduate.
